WHO IS TEXT LIFELINE™ FOR?

HOW IT WORKS

MORNING CHECK-IN

Text Lifeline™ sends a small “check-in” notification on an individual’s phone each morning. Perhaps it’s an aging parent who is living alone, a child off at college, a friend struggling with depression, or even just someone living alone with pets that need to be cared for.

If the individual responds “I’m OK” to the text, there won’t be another text until tomorrow.

AFTERNOON CHECK-IN

If they don’t reply that they are “OK” to the text, there will be a follow-up text check-in sent six hours later.

EVENING CHECK-IN

If the individual doesn’t respond “I’m OK" to either the morning or afternoon text, an additional follow-up text will be sent 12 hours after the initial daily check-in.

NOTIFICATION

If they don’t respond “I’m OK” to that third text Text Lifeline™ will automatically send a text to the designated family members, friends, or caregivers, letting them know there has not been a response in over 24 hours.
